Richard John Samworth (born May 1978) is a Professor of Statistics in the Statistical Laboratory, University of Cambridge,〔(Official web page at Cambridge )〕 and a Teaching Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge. He is Associate Editor of ''Annals of Statistics'' and ''Journal of Royal Statistical Society Series B'', and also has been Associate Editor of ''Biometrika'' and ''Statistica Sinica''. He was educated at the St John's College, Cambridge. Currently, his main research interests are in nonparametric and high-dimensional statistics.
